My representational oil paintings have lively brushwork and color for a contemporary impressionist interpretation.  The pleasure of painting for me is discovery of light and shadow, color variations, merging of edges, and unique shapes through life study.

The shape of a particular tree limb, the color of a particular pear in light and shadow, or lost edges in a dark corner portray the mood or individuality of the subject.
