My fascination with ducks began as a young boy when my father and I would watch the annual duck migration in the many lakes around Western New York.

I actually began carving over thirty years ago, but since my retirement I have taken up carving exclusively. All my decoys are carved using knives spoke shaves and rasps, which is the traditional way of carving. Most of my wood carvings are either northern basswood or tupelo (which is found in the swamps on the eastern seaboard).

Each decoy represents my artistic impression of the decoy and the enormous beauty around us. These decoys are made to last generating something you can hand down to your grandchildren.
