The jury has decided to extend the application deadline to Saturday, June 25!

Art MoB is looking for artists to participate in their WNC Local Inspiration Juried Art Show that will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016!

 

This show’s theme will feature our home, Western North Carolina, in painting, photography, sculpture, fiber, glass, wood, and mixed media. What locally inspires you, the mountains, the waterfalls, the animals, the flora and fauna? It’s up to you to determine your local inspiration!

 

Art MoB is an art gallery featuring over 90 local artists and craftsmen in a 5,000 square foot space in downtown Hendersonville, North Carolina. Hendersonville is in the

mountains of Western North Carolina and is known as "The City of Four Seasons”.

Hendersonville and the surrounding areas are rich in history and the arts.

How to Apply

Artists who wish to participate should: Send full name, email, address, phone number, short bio and up to 4 images of recent work to artmobpr@gmail.com by Saturday, June 18. An entry fee of $30 is due at the time of application either by check or by paying online. Rules of Show

The exhibition is a juried exhibition to showcase outstanding original visual art. It is open to both professional and emerging artists who are 18 years or older using visual media. 2-D and 3-D art will be selected for this exhibition.

 

• All works of art entered must be for sale

• All 2D work must be completely prepared for hanging with wire

• Wire must not be frayed and must support the weight of the piece

• No “saw tooth” hangers may be used

• Maximum framed size cannot exceed 20” in any direction

• 2D and 3D art cannot exceed 25 pounds

• Only one submission per application

• Works must be recent – created within the last two years

Call for Artists: June 3 – June 25, 2016

Application Deadline: June 25, 2016

Jury will announce participants via email: June 29, 2016

Drop off artwork at Art MoB: July 20th from 10am – 5pm

Show Reception: July 22, 2016 from 5-8pm

Show will hang in gallery from: July 22 – August 19, 2016

Pick up unsold artwork: August 20 – 22 from 10am – 5pm

 

Best in Show & Honorable Mention

The show jury will choose “Best in Show” and “Honorable Mention” awards on the evening of the opening reception (July 22, 2016). “Best in Show” will receive $100 and “Honorable Mention” will receive $50.

 

Terms

If accepted for the show, please price your artwork according to these terms, 60% to

artist and 40% to Art MoB.

 

Photo Release / Advertising

Art MoB has the right to use your artwork for use of advertising & promotion.

 

Insurance & Liability

By participating in this show you are waiving responsibility Art MoB has or may have to maintain insurance for any theft or damage of any kind. In no event shall Art MoB be liable for loss or damage to merchandise property by water, fire, theft, vandalism, discoloration, and deterioration or for any damage resulting from actions of customers. Artist shall, at his/her expense, procure and maintain such insurance as desired against all risk of loss or damage to said property.

 

Deliver & Pickup of your Artwork

If accepted, artwork will need to be delivered or shipped to Art MoB by Wednesday, July 20. Title, medium, size, and cost will need to accompany artwork when delivered or

shipped. If shipped, please include a paid return postage label so Art MoB can send your artwork pack if not sold during the show.
